Health Information, Nutrition, Cosmetics, Diet, Exercise etc. So much has been written on the topic of health and nutrition, that it is always a problem, what new can be told. Some points which we are well aware by now are that, we should eat a balanced food containing all the necessary nutritive elements, namely carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. The quantity of the food should be a bit less than the calories you have spent while doing some physical activity. To know this exact quantity, there is an easy way. When you sit for eating a meal, a time comes when you feel satisfied. Stop eating at once. Not a morsel more should be taken in, how ever tasty a sausage or fried rice is! Remember that your body is definitely wiser than you. It gives you signals from time to time about what is required for it what is not. When it gives the signal of satiety, not stopping eating, is a crime against it. Another sign is a burp. The first burp is the next signal of satiety. If you are burping twice, thrice or more, that means you are full, fuller and fullest. Of course, it is presumed here that you will eat meal when you are actually feeling hungry.
Due to wrong food habits, toxins keep on accumulating in your body. Wrong food habits are eating whenever you want, though you are full, eating at changing intervals, eating a lot of a certain component of food and very less of another, not eating anything, for the purpose of losing weight, drink either too much of water or very less of it and so on.
Fruit juices are excellent cleansers of our body. So also are the extracts of vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain most of the essential nutrients required by our body. By drinking a big tumbler of orange or grape juice or a big bowl of vegetable soup, you can consume a quantity of that fruit or vegetable, which you could not have eaten at a time and you get all the benefits of eating them. Wonderful thing about juices and soups is they don’t make you nauseous about food. Contrarily they stimulate your taste buds and you feel whichever food item you eat, full of taste.
There is a question mark about whether to eat meat and other animal products or not. A lot of debate has occurred and still going on regarding this. But it is proven now, that human stomach is not made to digest any animal product, not even milk or other dairy products. And because of this, these foods keep on decaying in our stomach, because of incomplete digestion. Ultimately they give rise to various diseases in the long run. Now you can’t guess that you have got acidity or some stomach infection in your thirties, because of the delicious meat balls you had eaten on your twentieth birthday party! Therefore, it is better to avoid the animal products as far as possible. And if you cannot live without them, have them very little.
Ideally, you can divide your food intake in 4 to 5 smaller or bigger meals. In the breakfast, you can take a glassful of any fruit juice of your liking, 2 to 3 slices of brown bread neatly roasted with no butter on them, this may vary according to your body frame, that is, if you have a bigger frame, you will need more of slices, and dry fruits of your liking. Your morning meal may contain a big bowl of boiling hot vegetable soup, a big bread, a dishful of rice or any cereal of your liking, this again should vary according to your body frame, as big bodied people need more carbohydrates for more energy, 1 or 2 salads with a dressing of lemon extract and not oil, though rice bran oil is good for health and a lot of fruits, as many as you can. With your evening tea or coffee, you can eat some amount of biscuits, chocolates or other delicacies which are considered to be the culprits for weight-gain, but be sure that you don’t overeat them, as they are just for avoiding the depression which may arise out of their removal from your diet. Your dinner again may contain a lot of fruits and their juices as well as vegetable soups, raw salads along with a moderate amount of carbs-containing items like bread and rice. In salads, you can have an option of raw sprouts which are an excellent substitute for milk to provide you calcium supplementation. |
